Who we need
Reporting to the Sample Logistics Manager, we are hiring a Bottle Preparation Technician to join our Environmental Services team in Mississauga. As our new Bottle Preparation Technician, you will prepare and package environmental sample collection kits that support laboratory testing across our network. You will accurately sort, label, preserve, and package bottles, ensuring every order meets quality standards and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) requirements before shipment. Working closely with Laboratory Operations, Customer Service, and courier partners, you will help ensure clients receive the correct materials on time, supporting the safe and efficient flow of samples into our laboratories.
This is a full-time, on-site contract role based in our Mississauga laboratory, working Monday to Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

How you will make an impact
- Prepare sample collection kits. You will sort, label, and prepare bottles according to client orders, including dispensing preservatives where required while following established safety procedures. Your attention to detail will help ensure every order is accurate and ready for environmental sample collection.
- Package materials safely and accurately. You will assemble bottle orders, package them in coolers with the appropriate packing materials and ice packs, include all required documentation, and apply shipping labels in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations to ensure safe delivery.
- Maintain quality and compliance. You will inspect bottles and coolers to ensure they are clean, in good condition, and suitable for use. You will follow Bottle Preparation Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality control processes while helping maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area.
- Support day-to-day laboratory operations. You will organize completed orders for shipment, identify issues that could impact quality or efficiency, and communicate concerns to the appropriate team members. You will contribute to maintaining a productive operation while supporting changing priorities and team needs.

- The reliability. You bring a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a team, and are committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. You are comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs as part of your daily responsibilities.
- The qualifications. You have a High School Diploma. Experience working in a laboratory environment is considered an asset but is not required.

- The salary range for this role is $17.60 per hour.
