Who we need
Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor or Laboratory Manager, we are hiring a Laboratory Technicians to join our Environmental Laboratory team in Mississauga. As our new Laboratory Technician, you will prepare environmental samples supporting the production of accurate, defensible analytical data used in environmental monitoring and regulatory decision-making. Working in a high-volume laboratory, you will follow established laboratory procedures while contributing to the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of testing services.
This is a full-time, contract on-site role based in Mississauga, working Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m and Saturday or Sunday depending on business needs. Overtime may be available based on operational requirements.

How you will make an impact
- Prepare environmental samples. You will perform sample preparation, extraction, and clean-up activities following established Standard Operating Procedures to ensure samples are ready for LC/MS analysis.
- Deliver quality results. You will help produce accurate, defensible analytical data by following quality procedures, maintaining sample integrity, and ensuring work is completed within required turnaround times.
- Maintain laboratory operations. You will prepare reagents and standards, verify laboratory equipment, support routine maintenance activities, and keep work areas clean, organized, and audit-ready.
- Document with accuracy. You will maintain complete laboratory records, identify non-routine samples or procedural issues, and communicate delays or non-conformances to your supervisor to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Support continuous improvement. You will participate in training, quality initiatives, audits, and process improvements that strengthen laboratory performance and operational efficiency.
- Work safely. You will follow Bureau Veritas quality and health and safety procedures while contributing to a safe, collaborative laboratory environment.
What you bring
- The laboratory foundation. You have gained practical laboratory knowledge through education, training, experience, or a combination of these. You are comfortable following detailed laboratory procedures and understand the importance of producing accurate, reliable results.
- The technical skills. You have experience handling samples, preparing reagents, performing laboratory techniques, or working within standardized analytical processes. Experience supporting environmental testing and sample extraction would be considered an asset.
- The attention to detail. You take pride in producing high-quality work, maintaining accurate records, and consistently following quality, safety, and documentation requirements.
- The organization. You manage your time effectively, prioritize competing tasks, and maintain accuracy while working in a high-volume laboratory environment.
